Viewer discretion is advised INFO Since her arrival at Ponyville to the classic Gala in Canterlot, embark on a travel of 6 minutes with Twilight and her friends to remember the season that started everything and changed the standards of TV cartoons Song: Sultans Of Swing Artist: Dire Straits Date: 1978 Album: Dire Straits Genre: Rock PMV's original upload release date: August 2nd of 2024 And here it comes what it will be a series of PMVs that will pay homage to the entire G4 series of MLP, from season 1 to 9. I don't know when it will be finished but I'll try to upload one from time to time. As to the PMV itself... well if you saw my first upload on Pony.Tube you should know more or less how it is structured. Every one of these will be a compilation of best moments from the season in question, this case being season 1. I know what some of you may be wondering "Won't 9 seasons with the same song become too much repetitive?" Don't worry folks, every one of those PMVs with this theme will feature a different version of the song. This song being so iconic for the band was featured in every one of their tours so from 1978 to 1992 there will be so many versions to cover and with very different styles as well. Season 1 for example will not sound anything at all like season 2 and so on. Even duration will be different, the later versions being 10+ mins long! So don't worry about that ^^. Nothing more to say, enjoy this little tribute to the first and classic season of MLP:FIM. Here are the lyrics and some explanations of the PMV dynamics if you need them: LYRICS You get a shiver in the dark It's raining in the park but meantime South of the river, you stop and you hold everything A band is blowing Dixie, double-four time You feel alright when you hear the music ringOne or various scenes taking place on the night Well, now you step inside, but you don't see too many faces Coming in out of the rain, they hear the jazz go down Competition in other places Uh, but the horns they blowin' that soundA scene that implies some kind of competition or confrontation Way on down south Way on down south, London townSome kind of trip scene (with or without the Mane 6) You check out guitar George, he knows all the chords Mind, it's strictly rhythm, he doesn't want to make it cry or sing They said an old guitar is all he can afford When he gets up under the lights to play his thingA part dedicated to Rainbow Dash And Harry doesn't mind if he doesn't make the scene He's got a daytime job, he's doing alright He can play the honky-tonk like anything Savin' it up for Friday nightA part dedicated to Pinkie Pie With the Sultans We're the Sultans of SwingA part dedicated to the Mane 6 Then a crowd of young boys, they're foolin' around in the corner Drunk and dressed in their best, brown baggies and their platform soles They don't give a damn about any trumpet playin' band It ain't what they call rock and rollA part dedicated to the CMC And the Sultans Yeah, the Sultans, they play Creole, Creole 1ST SOLOThis part is for the beginning of the season And then the man, he steps right up to the microphone And says at last, just as the time bell rings "Goodnight, now it's time to go home" Then he makes it fast with one more thingA part usually dedicated to Spike "We are the Sultans We are the Sultans of Swing"The Mane 6 once again FINAL SOLO -> Season finale See you next time ^^ Mon, 02 Nov 2026 16:35:22 GMT https://validator.w3.org/feed/docs/rss2.html PeerTube - https://pony.tube https://pony.tube/client/assets/images/icons/icon-1500x1500.png https://pony.tube/videos/watch/f26eafe7-667d-4fa1-99cd-f083d5750bc6 All rights reserved, unless otherwise specified in the terms specified at https://pony.tube/about and potential licenses granted by each content's rightholder.
