It was 2AM on the first of April 2017. I was wired, and was playing Outwars (1998). I had the idea to add Trixie's voice reacting to a known glitch in the game's graphics. It just came to me and snowballed into an irresistable project. This was the result, and it would form the inspieration for Trixie's Gaming Conundrum, which would be released over 5 years later.

Well, guys, it has officially been a year since my YouTube ban. So, I've decided to do a retrospective commentary/behind the scenes of my old YT videos. It's just me for the ride, this time. I am experimenting with having long-form content with just my voice. So, let me know if you'd like to see more of this (not just retrospectives, of course. I can do other things). It's a long ride. So, strap in, get a snack or two and delve into the director's commentary of this dead channel, and a retrospective on the circumstances surrounding its fall.

During the video, I do talk about having no VAs for my future projects. My money's going toward bills, and I don't know if anyone can do voices in return for non-monetary things. It is something I am mildly worried about, given the scope of my plans, post Trixie Connundrum 2. Plus, my fanfic readings. No pressure, but I just thought I'd mention that it's on my mind.

Note: The art of the bat pony near the end is something I've done during my mental health leave. I got into sketching while I've been recovering, (ending up with 800 sketches) and I decided to color some of them. Figured this OC would be a good interpretation of YT's current AI systems.

Well, folks. After the latest round of updates from YouTube (from like 2 weeks ago), I have finally lost hope in it. Yeah, I was mad at them and encouraging people to leave, but I hoped to at least get my channel back so I could say a farewell. I still could try, but I won't. Neal has just gone off the deep end and I won't cast out any more false hope. My home is here for as long as this site survives.
All I ask is that someone tells my audience where I am. So, they can find me, and engage with me.

This video comes with a side of updates about my future content, cos I just can't help but ramble, apparently. On the plus side, I am trying to sound less monotone. So, hopefully it will at least not bore as much. If you're interested in anything I've said here, feel free to ask in the comments below, my notifications are always on.
*I'll probably stop doing these rambles for a while, though. They aren't really what this channel is for. *

Note: The JP intros are for my dead YT gaming channel. I figured I'd put them in, as they were twin channels, much like Entrancing Patience and RCH Archives are now.

I dug into my drives and found the source file for this video. The existing upload is a YouTube rip and looks a bit unclean. This version is the highest quality available.

I managed to find the thumbnails for these as well; buried on my old PC. Though, this was originally for the original version of the animation, not the BTS, but I think it works.

I found the original files for a few of my animations. The existing uploads, I had to screen record from YouTube. So, not only are they compressed, but they appear bootlegged.

The drawback with these HD uploads is that I lose the subtitles. So, I'll keep the others up (at least until I do subtitles for these, if I ever get around to it)

Channel Trailer (Feb 2023 Draft)

Recently, I searched through my old PC's drive and I found a few things. One of these was the first draft of my channel trailer. Here's some history on it. I wanted to use this as the video people saw when coming to my (then active) YT channel. I intended for this version to be final, but two things happened that prevented it. One: The free music (Steel Symphony by Equestrian Space) was claimed by a robot thinking it was another song. Two: After making my secondary channel's trailer, and having a lot of fun with it, I came back to this and, after taking a look through it, it felt...kinda lacking. It had a sense of apathy and mediocrity to it. Hence why I made the now final version which you may have already seen.

I found my old 2017 art compilation while digging through my archives (big surprise). Now, I am fully aware the shrunken Vault 1 part 1 video has a lot of this in it, but this has some extras, and doesn't have cuts here and there, where I cut away from non-pony stuff.

I made this after College to celebrate my achievements thus far. Now, 8 years on from this, I can only say I've come much farther and with the plans I have for my new, upcoming era, I say; onward forth to a great new horizon.

An old test I made for my OC Lexi when I first started planning the series I will be starting next year. You may have seen the variant with sound in my Trixie animation, but it was on a TV. Here it is in full HD in full screen. Also, yes. This model of Lexi is older and is basically a variant of Vinyl Scratch. The new one will be more original.

Near the end I mention a comment on a trailer. That refers to the YouTube upload from 2021. Don't worry about that. All you really need from that is that things went south between him and I and the trailer and character showcase were all that were made. As for the rest of the art, I cannot believe how much I've kept over the years, let alone how much I've done. I didn't link the fanfics cos, let's be honest. Most were cringe XD. They got better, but since I only found the early ones, I figured I'd spare you. Yes, I did find my very first one, but I don't think even that novelty can save it. I suppose if enough people asked, I could do a reading...if you can stand my voice. However, since I don't tend to get many replies, I don't see that happening.

Fun fact: I have one of the old cover designs for my first fanfic featured in this video.

I mention an earlier two Vlogs, but since they are barely Pony related, they aren't going to be uploadable here. One discusses my traumas, the other discusses my cheer. It's not too important for you to watch to understamd this vlog.

Oh, and the Vlog was recorded back in February. Things have got...a bit worse since. Let's say, they kicked this horse while he was down. I'm taking it easy, though. I should pull through ok.
It was relaxing just making a simple slideshow after all the complexity and stress.

From 2021-2025 I made a series called Animation Vault II, featuring remakes of all my classic projects. Since YouTube deleted the last four parts (collaterally), this is really the only part that survives on there. Why is it here? In case they delete that channel too. The other four parts aren't pony related. So, don't worry about them. These are all my old pony projects (from 2014-2018) remade.

Due to my minor disability, it didn't come out great and the fact I recorded with an old Iphone means the fine details aren't present, but the main lines came through ok.

As part of my old channel's 2021 rebrand, I wanted to tighten up editing and ditch a few of my old practices. Not all, unfortunately, but a few nontheless. The result is a better-looking product, but it was ironically the worst project to do this with, as this was the one that killed my channel's momentum. Still, I hope now that's all over, this is still entertaining enough as a piece of my history, to perhaps take notes from for your own animations.

2022 marked the start of a resurgence for my content. After the disaster that was the Season 2012 trailer, I decided to try my hand at a few new things. I finished most of the hotel model I'd had stashed on my drive for 7 or so years, and I wanted to make it feel like you could be in this dude's place.

Unfortunately, as you will see, some of my older practices still caused issues, and the framerate problems were...not easy on the eyes.

Behind the scenes of my first ever animation. There's a lot of editing to mask mistakes and here, I peel away the veil to show you how haphazardly put together this was.

I over-relied on Post Production here. Not the VFX light light-rays. I mean patch jobs that I could have fixed before render, but I assumed the VFX course I'd taken a few years prior would help me.
It wasn't enough. So, I had to patch and hide issues. This featurette inspired me to do one for each of my animations. I ended up making four more and I've uploaded them on this channel too.

A trailer for a series I was collabing with someone on, but things soured between us and this is all I ended up doing. I honestly debated putting this up, but it's part of my channel's history and all the animation is mine. So, I thought I had better do it.
Fun fact: This video marked the start of my channels rebrand in 2021, complete with a new intro and better animation...and also was the start of its downfall.

This is my very first MLP video from 2019. It took me 11 months to render and another 2 months to edit. It was started way back in May 2018 and nearly killed my old PC. A 2D test I did in late 2023 before Hasbro started purging videos with the official artstyle. This was done in a day and it is rather rough, as I've not had many 2D animation lessons in my time, and what I did have, I had in 2016.

This animation depicts Crestfall, a villain, having her hopes shattered as the main villain disowns her.
