With how YouTube is devolving, I am finding that the original uploads are vanishing with not so much as a reupload in their places. This channel is dedicated to preserving the art and craft this fandom was once capable of. Some of these, I believe, are the last copies in existence. Though I feel it is an honor to have these preserved, I know how it can look with the growing archive; rampant theft with no remorse. So, I'm being very careful about what I upload here. It's vast and broad, but I research every video before I upload. I do sometimes slip up (old videos tend to get buried). If you want something removed, leave a comment and let's talk about it civilly. TLDR: This is an archive. Not a smuggling ring. No money is made off this. So, please. Last night, I spent about 45 minutes meticulously going through this video and correcting the aspect. The original shifted from 4.3 to fake 16.9 (still 4.3, but with boarders above and below as well, making it appear widescreen, but shrunken). I have done my best to marry the two together. Note that this wasn't meant to be 4.3 in the first place; it was squished as though one were to play a modern game on an old screen. So, it has now been fixed, though in the previews, it did still look a little squeezed, but I would have lost some of the frame had I corrected it any further.
I have also sharpened it a little...hopefully not too much.

I don't even know its real name. As you can see, it was part of Doors 3, but I could swear it wasn't in it. It's been a while since I saw it. Regardless, the interesting part is the channel that reuploaded it a few years back. The owner speaks in broken English, which is fine, but when pushed on whether it is a reupload or not, they literally say "no more questions. Ok?" If that weren't suspicious enough, the channel has no other SFMs on it. This looks FAR too good for someone to just come out with. They insist it comes from a link they share, leading to The Doors Collab collection, which is now lost media. However, they say it's from the Windows collab, and Dash is seen heading towards a window. It's just...a ball of yarn at this point, trying to figure out all the loose threads and back trace it. I tried last year and got to exactly where I am now.
Also, it was in 360p. That's very indicative of a reupload. I can't remember where I found this version, (I believe it was in a random SFM compilation) but it's in 720p. So, it cannot be from this channel, thus proving it is a reupload. Anyway. If anyone knows who really made it, let me know and I will credit the rightful owner, and link their channel.

So, I am not laughing at them (have you seen my PMVs from the following year? I could only dream of doing something with moving clips). It's just...my jaw was on the floor when I realized how simple this one was. I've never seen one edited in such a bare bones way. I've seen ones shot on iPads, ones done in Movie Maker, ones done on phone apps, but never so simple.

I honestly wonder if such simplicity is something we should yearn for, given the expectations of complexity these days. Says me who just the most complex PMV of his life on my other channel. XD.

One of these PMVs is still up, and viewable in 480p. This one, however, I could find no trace of. Since it contains a shot from Silly Filly's Fall of The Crystal Empire, I place this at around mid-late 2014.
Now, you are probably wondering; why remaster it? Was the quality that bad? Well, it was, but the girl was using her phone to record, meaning the UI kept showing up. So, rather than just replace the audio, I spent 5 full hours collecting clips from all I recognized, in 720p. Unfortunately, a few clips from what appear to be character a review, and an animation of Luna returning to the ruined castle and brooding over her old armor seem to be lost or buried. So, I replaced them with more Silly Filly stuff.

I won't link the girl's cover. Bless her. She's trying to put herself out there, but she is so off key, it legit sounds like she's crying. It isn't her PMV anyway.

It's a staple of old YouTube. If the resolution was too large, it would zoom out rather than fit. The cropping was wrong anyway, as the video was 480p. 4.3 res, but the show is in 16.9. So, I've rendered it at 720p. It won't make much of a difference to quality, as we are all watching on 1080p, 2K, 4K or higher screens, and every platform scales to fit. I also made the song a little louder.

Old YT had this issue where if the resolution was too large, it would boarder crop it. Aka: zoom out. So, I zoomed it back in. Also, season 1 had bad contrast errors in its initial run. So, I fixed that too.
